Department of Social ServicesChester Social Services (CSS) works to enhance the quality of life of Chester residents through support in meeting basic human needs and promoting services that foster self-sufficiency and economic idependence.  CSS works to build a stronger community by supporting families and individuals in need or crisis, and connects residents to resources that will help them to access food, obtain shelter for homeless youth and adults, mental health services, emergency relief services, educational and employment opportunities, personataff at the Tri-Town Youth Services Bureau (TTYSB) coordinate with the C

l safety, and access to health care services.  Available services are diverse and support all ages.  CSS also offers help with benefits programs, providing program applications, program liaisons and limited case management assistance.  Resource examples include access to the State Energy Assistance Program, Operation Fuel, SNAP, Service Unit Extension for the Salvation Army, ARPA Social Services funding, Holiday Relief programs, Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) and more.
