Building Department

The Building Department is charged to enforce Connecticut Building Codes on all new construction in town. This includes safety regulations for construction workers. Duties normally include:

• Reviewing plans for construction
  
• Issuing permits
  
• Worksite and property inspections
  
• Upholding compliance with State Building Code

When conflicts or problems arise, the Building Official will try to help you find solutions.
